❖   These fruits contain several chemical ingredients such flavonoids, quinolizidine,


alkaloids, tritepenes, stilbenes, tannins, steroids, coumarin, saponins, triterpenoids, glycosides, taraxerone, cryptoxanthin, taraxerol.

 

USES:

❖   The pulp of the raw fruits is eaten as a vegetable

❖   The pericarp is used medicinally

❖   The pulp is used as a sour ingredient in Cambodian and Thai cooking

❖   Anti -diabetic

❖   Anti-bacterial

❖   Anti-inflammatory

❖   Hepatoprotective

❖   Antioxidant, muscle relaxant

❖   Anti-histaminic, wound healing
